Emelia Grace’s Christening Day

On Sunday we got to celebrate our little girl by getting her Christened. It was such a beautiful day for us and so lovely to celebrate Emmy and show everyone just how special she is to us!!

Firstly, Here is Emmy in her beautiful dress which came from the Julien Macdonald Smile range in Mothercare…

We decided when we booked it that we wanted her to be Christened at the Church we got married in. One reason was because it made it extra special and the other, because the Church grounds are absolutely beautiful. The church is white and the grounds are full of palm trees and flowers…

We also requested for the same lovely vicar. She was the one who married us, and also sadly the one who did Lucas’ funeral. She also asked if she could christen any of our future children as Lucas holds a special place in her heart too, and all she wanted was happiness for us. In the service she mentioned Lucas and explained just how extra special this was to her to Christen Emelia for us. It was a lovely touch knowing Lucas was still involved, not just by our family and friends but also the vicar. After the Christening service we then moved on to our party venue which is called The Old Barn. It is such a gorgeous place. The room is filled with beautiful flowers and fairy lights which all wrap around the staircase and the beams across the ceiling. The prettiest place for a pretty little girl!!

The theme I decided to choose was a rainbow theme. It always would have been rainbow since Emmy is our rainbow baby! I just decided to change it to pastel colours to make it more girly. The decor worked so well and all the handmade items I got for to add to the decor were perfect! From the coloured felt hearts which completed the handmade rainbow cake to the hand painted 6 part wooden rainbow which looks amazing. I also got a beautiful pink foil print designed for her special day and a cute felt Pom Pom garland. The balloons also looked amazing!

We loved celebrating Emelia’s special day and everything looked perfect, just as we imagined it. Here are some beautiful photos of our venue…

I hope you enjoyed seeing an insight to our special day! Thanks for reading, Abi. x
